Oh, and further w00tage, too...

"The Gray World", my first Yi Qin flash story, has been accepted by EDF.   This is nice, as it was specifically written for that market, as a challenge to see if I could get a Yi Qin story in so few words.

No word on when it'll be up.   But it'll happen.   [info]bondo_ba, I trust this meets with your approval? :)

Congratulations! You are on fire these days, wonderful news.
I have just checked carefully and no part of my is currently in the process of combustion...

Congrats! (flash version)
Ta :)
Great news on the Yi Qin, and I'm envious of your word paring skills.

It's a very rare rewrite of mine that decreases wordcount!

My real challenge is a story called "The Vulkodlaki" - first run exactly 12k, but I want to get it down to 8k for submission.
Absolutely! Now, all you have to do is pressure Jordan to print it ASAP!

Congrats!
You can wait.

I've no idea how bought up ahead they are, to be honest. Enough that they can publish their month's list at the start of each month, certainly. So it may be a while yet...
What another one already?! Congrats! Better get writing more inventory :)
Yes, another one, and yes, it means I am behind on my targets for stories at market.

I need to try and finish the first cut of "The Ghosts In The Graveyard" (working title, but I like it so it might stay) tonight, and clean up "If We Were Briar Roses" which can go out by the weekend. Then I need to polish "The Smoke That Rises From The Mountain", and I need to rework and finish "Catching The Tiger". And I want to write "Peach, Plum, Pear" if I can decide what it's about (I have an odd feeling it may not be a Yi Qin story). And there's still "The Vulkodlaki" to rework, and "Come To Me Not In Mourning Red", and "Fragile Swan", and "The Carpet Of Dreams", and who knows what new inspiration might strike in the midst of all this?

Oh, and then there's the whole novel thing....
I'm considering putting up an Oi Editors post ;-)

Congrats!
I never expected it to work this well - I've had four responses since, two rejects and two sales. This is a ratio I can work with :)
Congrats, Brian. I'd have been surprised if they hadn't taken that one. :)
Thanks, Kurt.
Congratulations! That trick of yours really did work!
And no-one is more surprised than me. I expect a rash of "Oi! Editors!" posts across the length and breadth of lj now..
Your first Yi Qin flash! Congrats! :D
Entirely possibly my last, too :)

Thanks!
Congrats on the good news. Yi Qin rocks.
She would deny such an accusation, as rocking is clearly undignified :)

Thanks
Yay!
